Imagine the huge savings you can enjoy by using a Brother TN360 (TN-360) Compatible High Capacity Black Laser Toner Cartridge! However, some are hesitant to try as often off market brand of cartridges although newly installed does not seem to work with their printer. Common issue that can be encountered by using a "Compatible Toner" is the Error Message: "Toner Life End"; "Toner Low"' and "Replace Toner".
Do not be disappointed right away. I have been able to walk through all of my customers to resolve the above error message by simply pressing a few buttons on your printer control panel. Believe me, this has work countless times for the following models - MFC-7840W; MFC-7360N; MFC-8480.
Before doing the following procedure, make sure that your printer is "ON" and that the item in concern (TN360) is installed on your machine.
1. Open the front door where you access the toner.
2. Press the "Clear/Back" button. You will be asked to "REPLACE DRUM?" (1) Yes (2) No
3. Please DO NOT type in 1 or 2! instead, type in *00 on the keypad and you should be rewarded with "Accepted".
4. Close the front door, that concludes the toner counter reset procedure.
Pretty simple right? this is a trick that Brother doesn't want you to know.
Now.. go ahead and do a test print. I am positive that you will be able to resume printing. If the case is otherwise, you should return the cartridge to the place of purchase.
